Press & Media will be issued with accreditation upon arrival at the accommodation centre. Accreditation is required to enter all areas of the event, including sports arenas, accommodation, catering and transport, therefore it is vital that all participants have their accreditation on them at all times and that it is easily visible.

The European Paralympic Committee Youth Games 2012 are a four day multi-level disability sport event for young athletes and children from across Europe. The EPC Youth Games 2012 are organised in Brno, Czech Republic, from 20th to 24th June 2012 by the European Paralympic Committee (EPC) in co-operation with the European Commission and the Emil Foundation.
Beginning on the 20th June with Press & Media activities, the start to the Youth Games will be officially declared at the Opening Ceremony on the evening of the 21st June, due to be held at the magnificent Wannieck Gallery Brno.
It will mark the inception of the event which will see young people representing countries from throughout Europe in an event designed to be competitive, inclusive and educational. Eleven sports will feature at the event, including Athletics, Street Basketball, Boccia, Goalball, Race Running, Swimming, Table Tennis, Wheelchair Tennis, Sailing, Electric Wheelchair Hockey and Wheelchair Rugby.
In a schedule which seeks to be as inclusive as possible, many events will be staged in an urban setting, bringing the Youth Games to the people of Brno. The Press & Media have an important role to play in a progressive programme which will cater for and address issues and themes which stretch beyond the sporting arena. Seminars ranging from specific media training for young athletes through to the launch of the European Paralympic Committee’s ‘Superheroes’ concept will be delivered.
The full programme can be found below and outlines what is intended to be an exciting and dynamic four days, incorporating a competitive edge through established Paralympic sports but also bringing innovative sports to a wider audience with Sport exhibition events and introductions. Alongside the main sporting events there will be a wide range of social activities and educational workshops, allowing the EPC Youth Games 2012 to offer something for everybody.
